Beach Girl

Lola has discovered the beach. We have been spending a lot of time down on Alki Beach before the sun and crowds get too intense in the afternoon. She plays with sand, rocks, seaweed and bugs and points out the boats in the water. She is fearless and runs straight into the surf. Good clean fun!!

We made a last minute decision to head to Kauaii for some fun in the sun.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Lola and I attended a Christmas Party earlier this month. We attended the same party last year. I couldn't help but notice what a difference a year makes! From trying to nurse an infant in an uncomfortable chair in a dark room to chasing our little elf among the flaming candles, chocolate fondue, food, drink and glass decorations...

This picture is from the party- not our house- our tree is of the Charlie Brown variety with non breakable ornaments on the top half only. Lola has already taken care of the bottom half. We put the tree up while Lola was napping. When she saw it for the first time she said, "What's that?", no kidding. Wyatt explained it was a Christmas Tree. Her next words were "WOW!" Our most exiting verbal communication yet!
